Onur Gur
His career bridges banking and the retail & garment supply chain. Over 27 years, he has worked both sides of it — first financing it from within banks, then applying that expertise inside the industry itself.
He began in trade finance at HSBC, with progressive roles across New York, London, Hong Kong, and Taipei. In 2009 he joined Li & Fung, the world's largest sourcing and supply chain services company, building and leading its trade finance business out of Singapore for over a decade — financing garment and consumer goods suppliers across Asia, and gaining a close, practical view of how supply chains hold up under strain.
Alongside his role at Busana, Onur advises Riverchain, a Hong Kong fintech financing construction supply chains, and Mall IQ, a US-based purchase-intent platform, where he is also an investor. He previously served as board advisor to Atelier Rebul, the 130-year-old Turkish fragrance and cosmetics house.
He holds an MBA in Finance from Hofstra University in New York.
Onur is honored to join the Singapore Fashion Council as a Council Member, representing Busana Apparel Group, and looks forward to contributing to the Council and Singapore's fashion ecosystem.
