Every Body Matters

A collaboration between SHEIN and the Singapore Fashion Council (SFC), Every Body Matters is an inclusive design fashion competition that celebrates diversity and challenges conventional notions of beauty and style. Designed as a platform for emerging designers and industry professionals from around the world, it empowers participants to create collections that reflect the full spectrum of identities, abilities, and body types.

Through this initiative, designers are encouraged to push boundaries and rethink fashion norms, spotlighting the importance of representation in the industry. Every Body Matters champions the belief that fashion does not conform to a single shape, size, or identity. It is for every body, in every form.

Programme/Components

Eight exciting components are designed to provide comprehensive support, training, and visibility for emerging fashion designers, including:

Runway Show

A glamorous showcase of the finalists’ collections, highlighting their designs in a vibrant celebration of diversity and inclusivity.

Workshop

Hands-on sessions to equip designers with essential tools and knowledge to advance their careers.

Mentorships

Industry leaders and fashion professionals will guide participants, offering valuable insight and personal development to enhance their craft.

Field Trip and Research

Participants will explore fashion-related spaces, gaining inspiration and insight into various design practices from different cultural and social contexts.

Physical Showcase

A chance for designers to present their work to customers and industry professionals alike.

Masterclass

Educational sessions led by experts to further educate participants on topics like sustainable fashion, inclusive design, and business strategies.

Livestream

A livestream broadcast of the various events will bring the competition and its message of inclusivity to audiences worldwide.

Networking

Finalists will also receive an access pass to SFC’s annual flagship Be the Change Summit 2026.
