Sustainability
About the Pillar
SFC’s Sustainability Programme brings businesses, industry partners, government agencies and communities together to advance a more responsible and resilient fashion industry. By connecting sector insights with practical support for enterprises, circular solutions and public engagement, the programme helps turn sustainability ambitions into action.
Through initiatives spanning the fashion value chain, SFC addresses shared industry challenges and supports Singapore’s role as a hub for sustainable fashion innovation in Southeast Asia.
Impact Retail
Impact Retail is an awareness and education platform that invites people from all walks of life to explore the impact of fashion through accessible experiences and learning opportunities.
Fashion Sustainability Sectoral Plan
Developed with South Pole, the Fashion Sustainability Sectoral Plan draws on industry research and stakeholder engagement across Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia. It maps shared sustainability challenges and identifies priorities for policy alignment, circular infrastructure, and access to data & technology—providing a roadmap for collective action across the regional fashion value chain.
Sustainability Playbook & Sustainability Readiness Intelligence (SRI)
The Sustainability Playbook and SRI are being developed to help fashion businesses turn sector insights into practical next steps.
The Playbook will present guidance in a downloadable PDF that businesses can explore at their own pace. SRI is intended to bring that guidance into an interactive, technology-enabled experience, helping SMEs assess what matters to their business, prioritise actions and plan their next steps.
Fashion Cities Coalition (FCC)
At Be the Change Summit 2026, SFC announced its role as Asia’s only representative in the Fashion Cities Coalition (FCC), uniting eight cities to advance a circular, regenerative, transparent and socially fair fashion industry by 2030.
As part of this global initiative, SFC will host the Singapore Relay from 13–15 January 2027, with a flagship workshop addressing local challenges and contributing to an International Best Practices Library and local impact roadmaps.
